How to Root Sony Xperia M using One-Click Root solution

Sony Xperia M is recently released budget smartphone with Android Jellybean that comes with a 4 inch display, a dual core 1 GHz processor and other mid-range specs and features. Most users would like to extend the capabilities of their device and to just do so, they should start by gaining root access first. Then they can do all sorts of things which will make their life easier with the device.

The Xperia M users can now use the one-click root solution from the guys over at xda-developers. Its pretty simple and you will not have to deal with any complex stuff. But before we go ahead with the rooting, make sure you understand all the risks involved in rooting and the pre-requisites for successfully rooting your Xperia M C1904 / 1905.

  • Backup all the data as the operation involved might result in loss of data and might need to recover all the data like the contacts and all. So, take a detailed backup of all your data.
  • Then enable the USB debugging option on your phone by going to “Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging”.

  1. First download the root file from here and save the file to your pc.
  2. Now connect your device to your pc using usb and tranfer the file just downloaded to your phone’s sdcard. Disconnect the phone once done.
  3. Now install the tool you just transferred to your Xperia M and once installed run it.
  4. You will then receive a message like “Success, Superuser and SU binary installed!”.
  5. Now just reboot your device.
  6. Probably your first boot might take a while but there is nothing to panic. You will be glad to see your Xperia M rooted.
