Return Your Nexus S to Stock Using A One-Click Method

Rooting a device can be a lot of fun. Once rooted, you can flash any number of custom ROMs, themes, optimizations, mods, and pretty much anything else you can think of. Sometimes, however, something goes wrong and you need a quick way to get back to stock. Whether it’s turning your phone back into Samsung for a replacement or to fix a problem like boot looping, having a quick way to get back to stock can save a lot of time. Preparing yourself for returning to stock can also save a lot of headaches in the long run.

For Samsung Nexus S owners, you can now return to stock with a short tutorial that is considered by many to be one-click. Usually, when dealing with a Samsung device, you have to use something like Odin to flash files. In this tutorial, this is not the case, as everything will be automated for you. We believe it’s called being Noob Proof. Before we begin, just a reminder that we are not responsible for any ill that comes to your phone due to this method.   1. The first thing you need to do is click the source link and download the zip file.
  2. It is highly recommended that you back up everything. Your ROM, your apps, your SD card, everything.
  3. Enable USB Debugging on your Nexus S, then plug the phone into your PC.
  4. Use your favorite unzip program and unzip the file you downloaded in step 1.
  5. Open the folder you unpacked, and run the “run.bat” file.
  6. It’ll prompt you of if you want to continue, press Y to continue.
  7. The script will run itself.

Once finished, you’ll be stock, unrooted, running Android 4.0.4. This is particularly useful for those who need to back to stock quickly.
